Vicente Forte Sillie is a Venezuelan-born, Florida based multidisciplinary artist and writer. He has created in varies disciplines such as literature, scriptwriting, painting, collage, film and photography, always addressing themes of reality, fragmentation, deconstruction and metafiction. Even though he obtained a Law degree back in Venezuela (1997), he realized that his passion was to write and to create. He obtained a certificate as a documentary maker from the Koubek Center (University of Miami) and has completed numerous courses, all of them related to writing, journalism and art. He has been published by several literary Magazines: La Puerta Azul (Argentina), Rebelión (México), EL Grito (España), Proyecto Setra (Miami, FL), Nagari (Miami, FL), Obelisco Press (Argentina), Encontrarte (Venezuela), Tauzero (Chile), Zona Moebius (Argentina), and his films, paintings and collages have received multiple awards in different festivals and venues (Bootleg Film Festival, Los Angeles Movie Awards, Miami Life Awards, Ituziangó Film Festival, Painting Show at The Art Place Wynwood, Juried Show at The Art Link Gallery, Compositum Musica Novae at the Coral Gables Museum, among others). He has been part of two poetry antologies: La Ciudad de la Unidad Posible (2010) and La Floresta Interminable (2019), and has two poetry books published: La bestia que es la palabra (Isuu books, 2012) y Pájaro Azul (Stillness and Blood Press, 2015). At the moment he is writing/ producing /hosting Radio Viral, a podcast focused on art and culture, and he is committed to finish his first literary novel.
